Custom made wedding ensemble. Donna, the bride, was a mature bride who had been married and
divorced, and she did not want the traditional white gown. She and I found the silk skirt in a local
boutique. She and I picked out the silk fabric for the top and the jacket & veil. I created a pattern for
the top just for her as she wanted it to lace up the back like the skirt. I also made the long veil she
wore during the ceremony and the short veil she wore for part of the reception. Both veils echoed the
floral design of the skirt. Total cost for the wedding ensemble was about $700. I was the wedding
coordinator for this event and I also made all of the floral arrangements for the wedding.
A peach satin gown created for a local
woman who fell in love with a red dress of
mine that I wear at local farmer's markets.
It was custom fitted to her. It looks
amazing on her. (Hopefully I'll pictures of
her in the dress soon.) Total cost for this
dress about $180.
Set of sundresses made for a
friend who found the "perfect
summer frock" at a local thrift
store. She brought me the dress
and the fabric to make these two
dresses. I had enough extra tie
dye fabric to add pockets to that
dress, because one always needs
pockets on summer dresses.
Cost: $235 for both dresses and
creating the pattern.
|A Bamm Bamm costume made for a
local client. It is made out of polar
fleece and is washable and sized
adjustable. Total cost was about $65.
|If you are one of Santa's
helpers, now is the time to
order your suit. BTW- if
Santa needs a tailor, I can
help with that too. :-)
|Totes I make from recycled feed sacks. These are great fun, very sturdy, and make great grocery bag or carry alls. The
big ones, like the birdseed feed bags, will carry 3-4 gallon jugs of milk. These are $15/each, or 5 for $60.
